# Mateus Carniel Brambilla

> I’m a developer working across data engineering, backend systems and applied AI. Turning complex problems into useful, reliable solutions.

Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

I’m Mateus, a developer based in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and a Software Engineering student at Univates, with graduation expected in December 2028.

I enjoy working where software meets data: understanding a problem, connecting the pieces and making the result useful. My interests also extend to cloud infrastructure, open source and Earth observation.

Away from the keyboard, I like LEGO Architecture, games and learning how things fit together.

## Experience

### Developer · Backend & Data Engineering — Tramontina Multi S.A.

Nov 2025 — Present

Production data pipelines, backend integrations and tooling for the Databricks ecosystem.

- Data pipelines: Built and maintained 20+ batch jobs with PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog. Migrated an approximately 20-notebook pipeline to serverless Lakeflow/DLT, reducing runtime from about 30 to 8 minutes.

- Backend & IoT: Built and deployed a Flask/Pydantic service to process RFID readings, apply business rules and update MongoDB and SQL Server, running in Docker on a VM.

- Platform & applied AI: Built Python tooling for versioning and promoting Genie metadata. Reduced LLM output cost by 75% in a cataloging pipeline and added primary/fallback model routing.

### Industrial Processes Trainee — Tramontina Multi S.A.

Apr — Nov 2025

Practical foundations in Python, PySpark, Databricks and industrial data.

## Projects

### CronGoal

A productivity API with authentication, authorization and a layered TypeScript backend.

Support a productivity application with consistent API validation and access control.

Implemented an Express API with PostgreSQL/Prisma, JWT and Google OAuth2, Zod validation, role-based access and security middleware.

TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Prisma, JWT/OAuth2

### AirMood

A voice-enabled assistant connecting air quality, weather and satellite data to everyday decisions.

Make complex environmental data easier to access and interpret.

Developed the application end to end and led Tropa do Booleano. Integrated NASA Earthdata/TEMPO and weather data in a Python application with a voice interface.

### WaterScript

A multimodal pipeline combining water samples, Landsat imagery and climate data for water-quality modeling.

Predict water-quality parameters at locations outside the training regions.

Built data ingestion and geospatial features with Python and Snowpark, then explored XGBoost/Optuna modeling with location-based GroupKFold validation.

### TechPro

A collaborative ecosystem for TechPro: an internal system, an institutional website and a portfolio for the Deadlock team.

Bring the client’s operational needs into a navigable web application.

I structured the Deadlock GitHub organization and team portal, and contributed deployment, Docker containerization, central Caddy routing, permissions and automated tests. The delivery spans the application, institutional website and team portfolio.

### Deadlock Portal

An entry point and showcase for the Deadlock team, integrating projects, members and documentation.

Centralize team projects and streamline navigation between services and repositories.

Structured the Deadlock GitHub organization, team portal architecture, deployment pipeline and domain routing.
